Sends a real request to each link and reports whether it responded. Browser CORS rules mean it can't read the exact status code (301 vs 404 vs 200) for other domains, just whether something answered — so "unreachable" can mean broken, or a slow/blocking server. For same-origin links (your own site), this test is fully accurate. Links are checked a few at a time to avoid overwhelming your connection.
